Part worns from ebay Steve!
On topic though, welcome to the forum. Only 8 cars in 3 years isn't trying hard enough. ![Wink Wink](https://www.306oc.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/wink.png) But 1.8s FTW...I'm on my 2nd 1.8 306 now, and trust me there are worse cars you could 'have to put up with' lol.

Haha well if you include my motorbikes, I've had 14 vehicles ![Wink Wink](https://www.306oc.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/wink.png) How come you got a second 1.8 instead of one of the 2.0s?

£30 sound the right price? ![Wink Wink](https://www.306oc.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/wink.png)
I am extremely tempted to take those off your hands... What kind of condition are they? Do you have any photos?

Haha, oh I see, I never bothered with bikes lol.
And I have a 1.8 because 2.0 XSi's are crap and 2.0 GTis are too expensive.
Though kinda regretting it a bit, its a lot slower than I remember...seeing as I've had much quicker cars since....before the 1st 1.8 I'd only had 1.4s lol.

The 1.4 and 1.6 are too slow... the xsi 2.0 is just as fuel hungry as a 6 but without the power. The 1.8 is a lighter engine and more efficient.
So the 1.8 is in the middle which makes it a fairly pointless choice as its not power or economy. But its still better than an xsi

Seconded! had a 1.8 XS and bought am XSi afterwards.. biggest let down ever! 1.8 is rev happy and fun ![Smile Smile](https://www.306oc.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/smile.png) the 2.0 XSi is just lazy and boring.

Yeah I'm finding it a bit sluggish, especially as I've just come from my Honda CB600 with 0-60 under 4seconds :L It's quite a fair bit slower than my VTS was too. Still it's a 306 and that's a win!

Yeh but a VTS is lighter for a start... and it has the chav factor. Always going to be slow compared to a bike especially a cb600!

Yeah this is true and it produces more power, but I like all the posh bits on the 306: leather, air con etc

I'm guessing because of the unique way the French make cars it's not as simple as getting it re-gassed?

Give it a try by all means, might be worth getting it pressure tested first though, sometimes they can even tell you where its leaking from. The ac in my old 1.4 worked untill i crashed it for the first time.
