Hey guys,
I removed the decat the other day to change the lambda sensor as it's faulty and it was seized, but it's honestly not budging at all. I tried using spanners and have also had mole grips on it tight as hell and it's not moved.
Any tips to removing it? Is it going to be a case of just drilling it out or something? I have a spare lambda which is now on the cat and back on the car, but I'd quite like the decat back on.
Cheers

Mine is screwed on my car, and as my uncle snapped my 22mm spanner and then but it back... I only had my adjustable. But I put a deep socket that fitted over the end, with a long extension... Did the job. I'm amazed too, as it's basically round.
Is your rounded or just tight? If it's just tight, try and do above and get something long on it.
Or if it really won't budge, just take it to a garage and let them put some heat on it. Or bring it with you Saturday and I'll have a bash

If you wouldn't mind mate, I'll bring it on Saturday! I don't have a long enough socket to go over it It's not quite rounded, but it is damn tight.
Niall there was plenty of MTFU. Even for a ginger it should have been sufficient.

I meant over the end of my spanner haha. But yeah that's cool, and as you won't need the sensor it'll be fairly easy as we can just chop it off and whack a socket over

Plenty of heat and you can buy lambda sockets with a cut out for the lead heat it up and a BFO breaker bar on the socket never failed for me

Blow torch the thread surrounding it should do it. I've never had one seized that much.
If that fails you could try getting some decent moles F%%*ing tight and hammer them round.

My pal at the tyre/exhaust place holds the lambda sensor in his vice and turns the down pipe! Works every time

Get a proper lambda socket and a breaker bar, If that doesnt work put a longer bar over the breaker bar lol and yano penetrating fluid and maybe a blow torch just for good measure?

22mm ring spanner, lots of fire, and a get into a position where you can get good leverage on it (both feet on the floor pan) just make sure you don't literally punch yourself in the face like I did when it gives though.
