Mate of mine has a 306 HDI which I may be looking to buy while my VXR is off the road, he says he changed the fuel filter and now the car cuts out at 2000rpm?
I've never ever worked on an hdi so I'm pretty much blind to them.
Any ideas before I get it?

What filter did he put in? Highly recommend genuine purflux, i've known halfords fuel filters to cause this problem. Combined with a weak lift pump or worn injectors it can be enough to upset the ecu.

Makes abit of sense to me that, as the car is on 180k.
