What car do you have? If its not a GTi6 then its the oil level guage.
If it is a GTi6 then its the oil level, followed by the oil temperature

I just brought my 306 on the rev counter theres a another dial under it when I start it go to the right then go back to the left what is perpose it goes over to amber area then runs back to left, a garage said it was something to petrol use don't think they knew

Welcome along, That dial is just an oil level check when you start the car.
