Accelerator cable

Hi chaps, I need to change the above as it's only held together by a few stands

I bought a repair kit from piggy (with an old XUD cable he'd thrown in to refurb) but the kit says TU and XU engines, I laid the repair kit and the old XUD cable next to each other and there's a good huge length difference between them.

I guess the petrol and derv's are massively different? Does anyone have a good XUD cable they want to sell?

When it comes to fitting the cable are they easy to fit or not...everything is crammed in to these cars !

Top of the throttle pedal is a white clip, undo it. Then take the clip off the cable aswell and put it in your pocket. Go in the bay grab the cable and yank!

Thanks Tom, I'm guess I tie string on to it to feed the new one back in?

Most new throttle cable kits need chopping and adjusting before fitting.

Is it the one with the litte barrel and grub screw (throttle end) ?

odd with the length...bought the kit new and not cut the cable.
and the tu and xud cables are only about 4/5cm diff!?

Nah it's got a silver metal sleeve that you crimp on the end of the cable.
