So I did it I went out and bought a vw golf now to decide what to do with the 306 do I break it sell as is or keep it to fix up

I read that u disconnect it at the engine end shorten reconnect then pump the clutch so the automatic tensioner re aligns is this not correct http://mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/1752/clutch-c...

After some research on here and other sites my first port off call will to be to try and tighten the cable also popping the clutch with the car out off gear is helping to stiffen it up all be it breif...

ohh damit i still have to look at the cable etc check if spring is still on pedal although iam pretty sure its been removed before i go ahead with clutch quicker i get it fixed quicker the next pr...

but i like my old clutch lol would changing the bearing fix the issue or is a whole new clutch required

so my clutch has always been fine a bit heavy but i kinda like it that way,this is untill driving home last night off course now i have a flappy clutch pedal which does appear to reset like its not on...

Well my mate said he will do it 100 if I supply the kit so iam going to ask around and see how low I can get it I have reduced it by 100 in a matter off hours dont see it going less but u never know

There is no proof that it was my mechanic it may have been it's time to go but everything points at him I'll be seeing him Monday when he opens hopefully get some answers you would have thought if it ...

Th hub split right in half possibly due to over tightening of pinch bolt or now u mention it ball joint wrong size just had ball joint replaced first stop mechanic that did that thank god I took out b...

So an update I had to replace the near side ball joint and the rear beam is knackered will need replaced to far gone for replacement he says he will fit it for 100 if I can source one for him they are...

My rev counter has never worked from the day I got my mine isn't a nad though it was previously but had an engine replacement so probably that on mine it doesn't bother me really as the car still runs...
