Just checked without belt on and ran the engine. Clattering as usual so that's all good! Spun the alternator pulley, PAS pulley and tensioner pulley... Tensioner pulley sounds like it's grinding its...

If it is the alternator bearing, is that just simply replace the alternator or can I replace bearings in it? EDIT: Also, what's the best way to check which of the 2 bearings are shot?

Well, Since i've replaced the glowplugs recently I retarded the static timing back to where it was originally. It has now been boosting at 28psi peak (rather than 24psi) in 3rd, 4th and 5th on a Luc...

Mine sounds like a tractor at idle (which I like the sound of! :D) but straight through with a k14 all you can hear is turbo whistle. When booting it I think it sounds quite nice :) No video's to show...
