Hi
#1
I would be new to the forum (use wise) I have already browsed via google for the odd thing, like how to get access to the rear wipe motor... Etc.

I had a 1997-R 1.6 Vivant from 2010-2012 as my first car.
I now have a 1999-V 2.0 HDi DTurbo.

I have driven several cars of other peoples and I just <3 the 306! Can't imagine wanting to drive anything else.

Will probably be more active in my searching for answers on how to do stuff than actually posting as I'm usually busy all day most days. I would like to be active though if I can. Smile

It has done 83k and has some issues, missing spoiler, some dents and paint chipping on bumpers. The rear wiper doesn't work so will be removed. The alloys are in dire condition, so I'll be refurbishing them too. Little things like that... Which your forum has already helped me with ideas/ways of sorting.

Anyway... Nice to join you all. Smile

I'll try get some more pictures over the next few days.
The alloys are worse than they look in the photo, think previous owners had a thing for kerbs... Wink
It's nothing I can't sort out though. Smile

Anywhere on forum for selling a car? (Edit: Found it don't worry! lol)

Pretty sure some of the glow plugs need replacing as on start it sounds like it's going to stall, but after about 30 seconds it sounds fine. I've got a mechanic coming Tuesday to look it over and see if anything needs doing.

Thanks for the welcome. Smile

Sorting the cyclones is on my agenda. Not sure about black, was thinking cream or white. Smile

But lowering is probably not a good idea unfortunately because of work and places I have to get to. Sad

Yeah I thought so too. Smile

Haha. I'll have to see how much clearance I can lose when I'm out and about and then save me some money, should also probably concentrate on getting my 1.6 sold so I can actually use the HDi... Sad
Saying that, I'm off to the scrappy today looking for a spoiler, passenger side rear back light and some bolts to hold the cover in the engine bay on for the HDi. Smile

To be honest. I had zero luck, I went to one, rang three others and none have a phase 3 306 with a spoiler, one had one that had had the spoiler removed already, but that's little use to me.

There's one more near by, just trying to track their number down for another day. Smile

I hope so. It's at the mechanics now having a once over to check what if anything needs doing before I use her. Time will tell. Smile

Well. I'm just back from the garage and here's what my lovely mechanic says about my Vicki...

No rear brake pads. (Reason handbrake isn't working)
Drivers side anti-roll link gone. (Rattle, knew this anyway.)
Battery or alternator not working (needs jump starting at present)
Cam belt tensioner had about an inch of movement and has frayed the belt itself.
Someting is wrong with either temperature or fuel sensor due to the dodgy nature of the engine at start up. (he rules out injector seeing as it runs beautifully when it up to temperature, but is going to check the fuel filter anyway)
She has had her cat removed in a 'brutal manner' (apparently not an issue now, but the way it has been done in a way which will degrade the exhaust very quickly).

Soo.... She has some issues but nothing unfixable. Especially based on how long I've had my eye on one of these and at a price I can afford. Smile
