Yeah the same underneath, but people will choose the different looks or different interiors that they prefer. The only reason to buy the subaru over the Toyota is badge snobbery as far as I can tell?

With the gt86 and brz there's absolutly no difference so I can't see the point. Undecided

Different bumpers, different lights, different interior iirc as well.

Who cares about exclusivity? Sake as rallyes I guess, sell a car thats worse than the top spec but make it more expensive...and for some reason people still bought them! lol

Tom, the BRZ at 86GT were different if you want to be that picky. The front bumpers were slightly different and i think the DRLs were in a different place.

My bad, it seems you are right niall, is literally just the front bumper that's different though....for what they cost they could've put a little more imagination in surely!

Badge snobbery FTW...Plus with the Toyota you're going to have one distinct advantage over the Scooby, cheaper insurance because if Subaru are only selling 10 BRZ's per 90 GT86's the parts cost on the Subaru is going to be astronomical to try and recoup some of the costs. They both have the same engine, same spec, same interior so I really don't see any reason to choose the BRZ over the GT86.

Correct the bumper was ever so slightly different mainly because the fog lamps were different but I think the DRLs were in the same place but don't quote me. But I did see the fogs were definitely not the same.

Ford fiesta mk4 and Mazda 121!

Partly correct there Kent! Mazda also offered the 121 as a Sedan/Saloon too though they are and were as rare as rocking horse shit - In fact so much so that I can't even find a picture of the Fiesta/121 as a saloon but I do know they existed as a friend had one!

Being essentially a Ford though they were still shit.
