I am led to believe there is no diffence in hubs apart from the size of the bottom ball joint is this true????

I have a 1.8 on a v in desperate need of a new hub again they keep f*cking up on the ball joint

ah yeah good point chris, didnt think of that

smokey, make sure you're getting the right size joint, its possible that you've been getting the smaller size and its ovalling the hub

Thats exactley wat keeps happening I almost scrapped it this morning I'm wipeing scrappys out of nearside hubs. Am I best off getting a hub and taking it to gsf and getting one that's off the new one

Have you tryed changing the ball joint? Get a hub from a phase 3 then buy an 18mm new ball joint. If it does it again there is somthing els at fault.

What phase/engine 306 have you got?

As said then change the ball joint then. If it does it again then you got an issue eles where

in theory. unfortunately its peugeot, so difficult to say with certainty. but, it'll be more likely to be an 18mm ball joint than 16mm.

Nope, not at all. As long as the hub and ball joint match, its fine. I used to have 18 on the left and 16 on the right, made no odds
