hubs - smokey - 12-11-2012 I am led to believe there is no diffence in hubs apart from the size of the bottom ball joint is this true???? RE: hubs - samass - 12-11-2012 yep, thats the only different RE: hubs - Chris - 12-11-2012 tu and xu are also different iirc RE: hubs - smokey - 12-11-2012 (12-11-2012, 05:44 PM)Chris Wrote: tu and xu are also different iirc I have a 1.8 on a v in desperate need of a new hub again they keep f*cking up on the ball joint RE: hubs - samass - 12-11-2012 ah yeah good point chris, didnt think of that smokey, make sure you're getting the right size joint, its possible that you've been getting the smaller size and its ovalling the hub RE: hubs - smokey - 12-11-2012 (12-11-2012, 05:48 PM)samass Wrote: ah yeah good point chris, didnt think of that Thats exactley wat keeps happening I almost scrapped it this morning I'm wipeing scrappys out of nearside hubs. Am I best off getting a hub and taking it to gsf and getting one that's off the new one RE: hubs - samass - 12-11-2012 yep, deffo. makes sure its the right one that way RE: hubs - puglove - 12-11-2012 Have you tryed changing the ball joint? Get a hub from a phase 3 then buy an 18mm new ball joint. If it does it again there is somthing els at fault. What phase/engine 306 have you got? If it does it again then you got an issue eles where RE: hubs - smokey - 13-11-2012 Hdi on a v with bottom joint should fit???? RE: hubs - samass - 13-11-2012 in theory. unfortunately its peugeot, so difficult to say with certainty. but, it'll be more likely to be an 18mm ball joint than 16mm. As long as the hub and ball joint match, its fine. I used to have 18 on the left and 16 on the right, made no odds RE: hubs - smokey - 13-11-2012 Like a glove fits perfect wonder how long this one will last |
