My 1.9TD

So, I bought this awesome car a month ago (already done 4,000 miles in it!)

[Image: 480037_10151077214083896_1311218747_n.jpg]

So far, what I've done:

- Replaced both non-operational front fog lights (they're both still non-operational but I prefer the new lights)
- Fixed n/s window regulator
- Installed subtle blue footwell lights
- Installed aluminium number plates
- New headlights
- Put aero wiper blades on the front

I know it's nothing amazing yet, but I'm not particularly advanced at car things and I'm learning fast I'd say!

Anyway, here it is now after a road trip to Paris:

Nice one buddy, only thing I would mention is those plates are definitely illegal; they do not have the correct border around them. Just a heads-up; wouldn't want you getting pulled not knowing Smile

any big plans?

I don't really have much money so I'm just doing small things at the moment, but yes, I do want to put new seats in, as well as doing some minor performance upgrades (once I've done some more research on how to do them - I'm not that confident messing with the internals just yet!)

Here are a few more pictures of it in some slightly unusual/cool places:

These two are on a recent expedition to Paris, waiting for the ferry home in Dunkerque, France:

Also, cheers for letting me know about the numberplates. I'll leave them be for now, but if I do get pulled over for it I can modify them to make them legal. I doubt any copper would notice them to be honest!

Kris lowered the car the other day. Also had a Bosch fitted and stage 1 tune.

It's quick!

tidy little project you got on the go there, IMO those wheels dont suite it, and the front needs to come down a tad more, but your spent the money where it matters on the stage 1 bosch and lows,

you have got a goodun there though, fair play

So, my back box popped off on the A40 the day before yesterday. Sparks and shit. Took the opportunity to make an emergency trip to Top Gear in St Albans, who, in about 20 minutes, custom shaped and fitted a new stainless steel exhaust and back box which is welded on. No clamps or anything. Also had the mid removed, and a much smaller back box put on. Sounds awesome now. It's very loud in the cockpit though Confused

My 306 came to a harsh end the night before last. I was driving along a road in Penicuik near Edinburgh and I hit a slippery patch of road. I spun out and hit a telegraph pole, mangled the front end of the car. It's a write off Sad

All four of us in the car were fine, but I have lost my awesome little car Sad

I'm never even going to see the car again as the police want £210 to get it back from the recovery place, so it'll be going for scrap.

I hope I will own another 306 again in the future, but I had to make a quick purchase to get me back from Scotland - a BMW 318i.

Cheers to everyone in this community for helping me with the problems I had with it at first and especially to KrisB for sorting it out for me and making it the awesome car it really was.
