Tidied my garage out so i could get the car in while im on holiday

painted the inner lamps yellow, not sure im keen on it tbh

Randomly, ended up with a berlingo van which im now breaking.

Got these goodies off for myself

14" steels, which may or may not be getting banded

and almost brand new 266mm brake set up and master cylinder. should be a nice upgrade over my 247's

Good stuff. I'm running 266's and they stop bloody well in a light car. Same wheels as mine too except mine are banded.

Ordered my front mount, was a steal at £50 posted brand new. It's only a baby, but I don't want to get too chop happy with my front end. Plus will try and reduce lag. Just a shame the inlets are 3" as I'm only planning on running 2.25" pipes.

Update on plans:

1. Get spare rear axle rebuilt and lowered
2. Get spare engine rebuilt with hdi rods
3. Fit new head gasket and new head, updated head studs
4. Swap turbo over, xantia inlet and Fmic
5. 11mm frankenpump
6. Coilovers on the front, or perhaps slightly lower springs
7. Possibly banded Berlingo steels with Berlingo centers and 185/55/14 tyres
8. Berlingo 266 front brake setup
9. New heater matrix and plumb it in ready for winter
10. Carbon wrap the spare bonnet, possibly grill too or at least Matt black it
11. Would like some new reclineable buckets
12. Custom 2.5" or 3" stainless straight through with possibly fake rear box depends how much I care.

Hopefully all this done by next FCS!

Right, don't know why but I've mounted my intercooler tonight. Not actually plumbed in but it will be shortly.

Some pics during and after:

Had to modify a spare front panel

Had a mess about with a spare grill. Not keen tbh

Original grill looks better

I think my plans are changin for this car now, I'm thinking on returning the outside appearance of the car to as close to standard as possible, with the exception of a little bit of lows, but obviously still going all out with the engine mods.

Thinking factory wheel trims on the Berlingo steels so I can have bigger front brakes, but thinking of ditching the gti kit and going back to base spec for the sleeper look!

Some new 12 inch fans

And some choice bumper mods

Hopefully can get another few months out of it!

Oh and its booked in with Rickyp next Friday hopefully so he can lower the back!

Nice! Are they the ones Rob was selling a while back? Look familiar. Need to get back to Rickys myself to get the arches rolled at some point.

New steering wheel

Also been doing a bit more red oxiding, so I have now painted the boot, bonnet, grill, front wings and n/s door! A bit at a time!

Got some new seats to fit (passenger side done) then I'm going to plate over the sunroof and attempt to drop the front a tiny bit more, this may involve a grinder as a temporary fix until i find some coilovers!

Coilovers fitted today. They are FK coilovers for a 206 which I have had to modify slightly to fit.

Height of the car before:

Old setup

Coilovers fitted with 205 top mounts

Car with no shocks!

Coilovers fitted

First height (wound all the way down)

Nowhere near low enough. So these got removed

And the result

Perfect height IMO

And the Gti front bumper is back on

Just need to finish spraying it!
