Project mud plugger

Ok so i bought this about 2 and half years ago now for £200 as an MOT failure as all there was a lot of rot on it, But 200 notes is still pretty dam cheap as far as discos go

I picked it up looking like this>>

[Image: 20047_247005990916_570790916_4292882_2093783_n.jpg]

Within about 2 hours later the angle grinder came out and the work began

[Image: 13739_189987330916_570790916_3889111_6753325_n.jpg]

Then came the not so fun bit............putting it back together

[Image: 14659_196025295916_570790916_3964143_5867981_n.jpg]

Due to 18 inches being cut off the back i could no longer use the OE fuel tank so i managed to source this tank for new with sender for £25

[Image: 14659_196025320916_570790916_3964146_8104596_n.jpg]

I then fitted a 2inch terrafirma lift kit

[Image: 20047_246999740916_570790916_4292858_2856028_n.jpg]
[Image: 20047_246999685916_570790916_4292855_1914933_n.jpg]

And a little bit of down pipe for deep water Big Grin

[Image: 20047_247002880916_570790916_4292871_1628995_n.jpg]

I then went about getting everthing fitted back together properly and got some new tyres

[Image: 14659_196025325916_570790916_3964147_2167418_n.jpg]
[Image: 18947_254863870916_570790916_4337658_6408692_n.jpg]
[Image: 18947_254860040916_570790916_4337643_4567386_n.jpg]

When all was finished i took it out for the first time and entered a punch challenge and basically battered it

[Image: 27881_420712035916_570790916_5324692_1403082_n.jpg]
[Image: 27881_420712065916_570790916_5324694_7442613_n.jpg]
[Image: 27881_420712040916_570790916_5324693_5586514_n.jpg]

Since then i fitted some better wheels and tyres, 2" shock droppers, welded the diff (locked) battery relocation extended goodridge break lines and much more

[Image: 76436_498473600916_570790916_7150898_4953016_n.jpg]
[Image: 35597_10150106678585917_570790916_7455075_1354262_n.jpg]

It then got to the point where i was battering the thing so bad somthing needed to be done with the front end and sides, so i added side tree/rock sliders to side below the doors and last weekend i finished the front Extra Clarence/protection

my old chap has got a comp spec 90 as well, you can see it in sum pics. Its a bit of an animal.
The disco gets round well. With the simex tyres and welded rear diff its pretty handy in the mud

To be honest mate its the best bit about owning this thing. If you fancy a bit more clearence you hust get the grinder out Big Grin but its been great to learn on. All the roll frame on the front i did my self and just learnt to weld f*cking about building that up . Dont have to be as carefull with this thing
