Find an original or decat it. Also if it's not had a headgasket it's worth slightly advancing the cam timing. You can gain 12lbft without any downside.

In that case is it worth looking in to a sports cat as I need to pass the MOT?

I've never heard of advancing the cam timing on these, I've seen the vernier pulleys before but I didn't know the gains. Is there a guide on advancing the cam timing to hand? A bit more torque would be great as I've drove a diesel the last 16 years.
