Made a start on fitting the recaros today, got the passenger one in but it's been raining on and off all day so didn't get a chance to get driver seat in. Passenger seat it a lot higher than I wanted so will lowere it once I get the driver seat in. They are a lot bigger than I thought they were and quite heavy too.

Finished work early today so set about making the driver seat mount to fit the drivers recaro, all in now and it sits slightly lower than the standard seat but not as low as I was hoping to be honest but it will do for now. Picking up an MX5 battery and fitting kit tomorrow as they come with sealed battery's as standard and will be getting mounted in the back behind passenger seat as the standard battery is currently under the passenger seat and I plan to lower the seat.

Thanks just picked up a smaller battery today so I can get rid of the big heavy one from under the passenger seat and lower it further down.

Lowered the passenger seat today, both about level now and feel a lot better too. Also got hold of an MX5 battery as there smaller and a sealed unit. Had to move it from under the passenger seat to behind the passenger seat now. Not to keen on where it is so may look for somewhere else for it or get a race battery so I can lie it down and put it back under the seat.

How much is tax a year on this mate? £240?

Edit: Scrap that, you're in Ireland.

Just thought i would bring this back to life ? bought the van back in Feb this year to find it needed a lot of work and was now rough as f*ck! Spent ages sorting out f*cked wires what someone had been messing on with as ignition wouldn't turn off even with the key out and lights stayed on too. Once that was sorted i got onto tidying the mess inside. Previous owner must have just used it as a skip! Body work was a mess! A 2nd hand axle fitted and not lowered, cyclones rubbed down with a flatting disc on a grinder and painted... list goes on.
Had the van on the rollers and made 175.3bhp what i was happy with, fitted a 4-2-1 maniflow exhaust, pro race 1.2s with nankang NS2R tyres. Custom oil catch can made by Zac at AH Fabrications along with modified cam cover powder coated, lowered the rear axle, sorted the wiring mess and fitted aero catches. The enjoyed some track time in it what was pretty fun.
Pics will not be in order...
