No Longer in the Fold
#1
After just 9 hours on eBay my trusty 306 DTurbo sold last weekend, and I was very sorry to see her go Sad

Looking at the log book I notice I was only 1 week shy of having owned it for 3 years - the longest I've ever owned a single car. She gave me all the common 306 faults but cost me so little and was such a pleasure to drive, I'd recommend one to anybody considering it reading these forums for the first time.

I went through-
Both driveshafts
A clutch
A cambelt change
A set of brakes (Pads & discs)
6 Tyres (admittedly the ones on it when I obtained the car were knackered!)
1 Wheel (pesky rock)
1 Front Bumper
2 Backboxes
1 2nd Hand beam
Both handbrake cables
2 Aux belts
1 New pulley
Several different stereos
2 different engine maps

And 47,000 miles!

Hopefully the new owner will appreciate the car as much as I did.

Farewell old shed!

Can't believe it's (almost) 3 years since you bought that one Chris!

£950 in the end.

I know Tom, time has really flown by. Company car is massively boring, trying to convince my dad to invest in a project car we can both drive / tinker with before he gets too old! Amazing how much you miss just having a car you can have a spirited drive in, video games aren't filling that void for me sadly, and whilst I'm now earning more I have some credit card debt to clear and a wedding to save for - so a weekend toy is a bit out of reach!

Simon, immense thanks for helping with that clutch change. I put the majority of this maintenance down to the previous owner being a bit liberal wifh the car - both driveshafts I later discovered had been replaced with 2nd hand ones - I despair, when decent new ones are so cheap!
