Dilema

My f*cking camshaft has just snapped. Well I'm guessing it has, as the cam pulley is hanging out and at an angle.

I have a breaker on my drive, is it as simple as taking the camshaft out of one and placing in the other?
The breaking on my drive had suspected head gasket issues.

So in my head I'm in two minds, strip the car back, replace the camshaft and so be it. (But is there any danger here of the bottom end going? Been told they are directly linked?)

Or change the head gasket on the breaker take the engine out and then fit too mine

Bearing in my that both jobs I've never done before

I have a full car, so anything I need will be there, just is it worth the risk? Is something else likely to go after?

I don't know, I pulled up the road, turned out of my road and the Heard the worst noise and then it cut out on me Sad tbh I leaning towards changing the engine, just haven't got the time or the tools to do that right now
