The newly tensioned belt will put extra stress on the pulley and the last thing you want to do is have it fail a few months down the line.
We ALWAYS fit waterpumps when doing belt changes at work.
Defo worth it mate

Just make sure its a metal fin pump not a plastic fin one.
I paid about double that for a genuine Peugeot cambelt and waterpump kit from the dealer lol.

Lol, yeah I was gutted when I opened the box and realised it was nothing special!
Belt was Dayco
Tensioner was Dayco
Idler was SKF
Waterpump wasn't branded just stamped with the part number and PSA logo

Dirt cheap as a kit, Under £65.00 from Pug for OE parts. I never use Gates for my own reasons

Just check the hologram on the box to make sure it's a genuine Gates.

Didn't say I paid quite that much, got 10% discount for being a frequent visitor lol, but still a hell of a lot more than these ebay kits.

Wonder what differences are in cambelt numbers. The one I've just ordered for a Hdi is k015524xs and the one you've ordered is k035524xs

There are 2 different tensioners and idlers... Servicebox gives 2 options iirc. Upto RPO XXXX and after it.

RPO 8560, quite late I think, around 2001.

Thought it was gonna be somewhere really obvious on servicebox that I'd missed.

Oh, it requires effort on my part? Sod that then. I just tried to 'guess' knowing what some of my previous 306s RPO's were, seem to have remembered them as they were needed for Planet lol. Only problem was I remembered one wrong, one of the X reg was 8787 but remembered it as 7878...fail.
