From what I can see in the pictures, it looks like you have done a mint job of them mate. Congrats.

IMHO glittery paint will look naff. Personally I wouldn't do it, but its not my car so...

They look fresh like that, maybe ask someone to photoshop for you? (I am crap on photoshop lol)

Thanks all. It's not a mint job if I spent a bit more time sanding
Them I may of got them better. But you can only notice close up. But I'm more than happy with it Smile. Going to laquer it tomorrow if I have time. Going to put it in my down stairs toilet as there's a radiator in there and it's small so it should harden nicely over night.

Definately let it harden. I left mine one night then had the tyres put back on and rebalanced, and the twat in the tyre garage took a chunk of paint out of one of the spokes. Luckily its not too noticable... Willl touch it up soon

How did you find sanding and spraying with the tyres still on? I found it much easier to have them taken off, but cost a fair bit more... Could you still get good coverage around the rim? :giggedy:

Best way ive found is letting the tyre down a bit and wedging playing cards in the bead :-) worked perfectly

I found it helpful to be able to run sandpaper all around the lip of the rim, something I couldn't do with the tyre in place. But then who ever owned my wheels before me had kerbed them quite significantly so i suppose thats why....

didn't think of letter tyre down. Will try with next one. As for coverage round the rim I'll let you know when I take paper off Smile

I thought of shadow chrome but couldn't fine any cans of it. I think I might pay for refurb next year see how they turn out.

To answer your question i took a picture today when I took paper off tyre.

And as for masking there was no point. Tyre is covered. Any idea how I can get the paint off the tyre?

There is a point to masking, you just have to do it properly, if you don't then you might as well just not bother as you have discovered lol

As for getting the paint off the tyres, paint thinners will do it, just make sure you don't get it on your nice newly painted wheels!
