I've asked a question in a thread and received a reply but can't reply to it nor can I pm that person ether.

It's really starting to frustrate me

As you've now discovered, you need a certain amount of posts to access these areas and features. As they were spam, they have now been removed.

If you'd like to join in, you'll get there in no time, but you need to actually post something constructive. Good start would be an actual intro thread, as I'm locking this one.
