I don't think i will be attending FCS I'm considering pugfest though Wink Cheaper and I think the missus will enjoy it more...just gotta talk her round haha...wish me luck lol

The rear washer on mine actually comes out of the spoiler though it's not underneath. My silver HDi was an lx and I added a spoiler on that but it was longer and had no washer jet attached.

I think I'll be going to both this year, good luck though haha!

Figured I'd compile at least a small update with only a week to go before FCS15 since a few things have happened.

I obtained another set of black masks from a friend as one of mine was pretty poorly done and letting moisture in, then what started as swapping them over ended in this:

Many 'might as well while it's off's later and me and my friend Niall had sanded and sprayed the slam panel and other metal engine bay parts, ripped the aircon out, and cleaned up the engine bay and radiator (which had loads of crap stuck in it from driving during floods last year)

We then failed massively by putting a Peugeot Sport sticker on upside down...

My rear beam decided it wanted to sound like a seal sanctuary the other day also so I took this opportunity to order a fully reconditioned GTi6 beam which will be lowered 60mm and fitted on polybush mounts when it arrives next week.

I'll be doing the front springs and struts as well as new wishbones which will be polybushed at the same time.

Today, thanks to Niall I managed to get a set of Morettes which I'd wanted for a while so I can run a proper cold air feed. Not sure if I'm going to keep just one or swap both as of yet...

A few 'last minute' modifications before FCS, I decided to swap my tired old front struts and springs for shiny new, along with wishbones.

The reconditioned GTi6 beam I ordered arrived literally the day before FCS...

So with the help of a few friends we stripped the old one and got the new one on!

I also uploaded a ProSteve Stage 2 map Smile

So again, another long overdue update, but trying to squeeze in work, revision, and cars is fairly difficult but progress has been made J!
I have made some improvements to the boost hoses since my disappointing dyno run at FCS15 where she made 140bhp and 250ft/ibs L So hopefully slightly more power a definitely less smoke Tongue

Apologies in advance for wind in the camera.

[Image: th_11349703_10155603384310447_1984364795...ulbq0a.mp4]

Shortly after French Car Show she had to come off the road for a few days due to an intercooler pipe deciding it wanted to rub its way through the loom at the front of the car. This left me stranded in a random industrial estate which is actually a first time experience for me despite owning a few French cars now!

This killed power to the lift pump. After messing around for days, replacing relays and the pump itself I finally realised it was a wiring fault. Managed to get this sorted and she was back to destroying the atmosphere!

I previously mentioned that I had purchased a reconditioned GTi6 rear axle just before FCS, well this started to cause me problems too. Rubbing away at the inner arch liner due to negative camberL. After a song and dance trying to get a refund I’m over a month on and still haven’t received it (after calling today I’m assured it will be with me in 2 working days) needless to say I’m back on my old beam and I’ll make another thread about my service from AxlesDirect at a later date. Whilst I had the rear beam off I decided to replace all the mounts, when I can afford to these will be swapped out for solid ones at the same time as BakerBM top mounts for the front.

After a friend recently purchased a 306 Rallye that had been track prepped to within an inch of its life, I decided that’s what I wanted for my car so I began stripping it out which proved useful when I had to move out of my uni accommodation recently…

Did it in one trip  Sleepy

While I was there I removed the dash airbag and replaced it with a PH2 dash cupboard.

I then had a blowout from not realising that both of my front tyres were shagged..

My friend sourced two (helpful) 15” Speedline Citroën Sport wheels which I planned on completing as a set so I put some brand new UniRoyal Rainsport 3 tyres on them rather than keep the hateful cyclones anymore.

I then quickly realised that unless I bought two brand new I’d be hard pressed to find another two, but whilst trying I came across a set of 16" Speedline Comp 2 (2108) wheels which I decided to buy instead…

Please excuse the dirty rear, she doesn’t stay clean for long these days and people can’t seem to help themselves when it comes to writing things in the coal….

That's one lucky car having so much work done to it.

The rear gets that dirty while the rest stays clean, never seen it that bad before lol

She really shouldn't smoke like that, certainly not for 140bhp, it's not good for the car. I'd be checking your boost pipes with soapy water and if that doesn't show anything up then think about getting a better map. Looking good otherwise, love the speedlines.

She doesn't smoke as bad as she did on the dyno currently. I've a couple of boost hoses to replace even still to get them how I want. I'm hoping this will rectify the dirty rear and bring the power up a smidge more.

It's also beginning to sound like I've got the makings of tensioner or crankshaft pulley issues again.

If you have I strongly recommend using a solid 307 hdi pulley. I did one on my hdi a couple of years ago that I bought 2nd hand for a fiver and it's still fine

Regardless of the power, it shouldn't smoke anything like that. The HDis should be clean as a whistle, even with a heavy tune there shouldn't be more than a very light haze.

If that is the case then I really need someone to take a good look at mine. Even on just a stage 1 mine coats the back of the car with thick soot :/

And as for this car it looks great Smile Fair play to you for all the work you have done to it your self. Really looks neat Smile

Cheers guys Smile and yeah like I said I need to install a boost gauge and make certain my boost pipes are flawless. I'm pretty sure that will reduce the smoke a lot, then I can think about stage 3.

How do you know that's what your making unless your running a boost gauge? Did he change it for you when he did your map or did you wind it up your self?

I've no idea what it's actually making :p but a boost gauge is definitely on the list for the near future.

If you haven't turned the wastegate up your self or put a manual boost controller in then you will be running lots of fuel but not enough boots to burn it :/
