yeah it shouldn't be too bad to do at all, easiest way I have found is to slacken off the flexi at the calliper, then remove the calliper and spin it off the hose in your hand so you don't twist it up and then get the new one on as quick as you can (again turning the calliper to get back it onto the flexi) and then bolt back into place and nip up the flexi, the less fluid you loose while doing this the less air you will have to remove from the system when you bleed them up again Smile

Its fairly straight forward once you get your head around it!

slightly confused there...

Im going to be removing and changing the calipers AND hoses ALL together... are you saying when i remove the DT caliper, to change the hose and new caliper REALLY quick :| ?

Washers behind the bolts work fine of you don't have the right bolts. Now with the hoses, you will have to rotate the entire calliper, but if the hose ends up twisted, then you will have to release the other end of the hose to untwist it

Im changing the hoses as well..., so both end will need changing anywho...

May as well replace/upgrade hoses while im at it??

Oh well if you're changing hoses too, it won't matter, but obviously the fast you change it, the less fluid you will lose and bleeding will be easier

Connor has the idea, sorry, didn't realise you said you were changing hoses too (skim reading FTL lol ) but yeah, the quicker you can do it the less fluid you will loose and therefore it will be less of a PITA to bleed all the air out Smile

Another thing worth noting when your bleeding the brakes is to make sure that the reservoir has plenty of oil in it as if it ends up totally empty you will drag air in and have to start again getting the air out!

You can use washers on the back of the bolts as Connor says too but it would be better with the correct length and I wouldn't want to suggest that (even though mine are done like this) in case it over stresses anything as after all the brakes are quite important lmao

In fairness its easy to do with another person too though and that normally only costs a brew lol

How can it be any easier than opening and closing the bleed nipple with an 11mm spanner while someone sits in the car and presses the pedal? lol

I would imagine that using that is also actually more of a faff than doing it with 2 people IMO but each to their own Smile

2 People doing it is much eaiser and quicker, yeah 1 person can do it on there own, but that doesnt make it easier

FYI the bleed nipple caps are ideal for capping of the exposed brake lines, saves me a lot of effort and means i don't have to go mad trying to get it done quickly, since that's generally when i make mistakes.
