How can they tell it's "unsecure" if it's underneath the carpet ? They don't go round pulling them up to check...

because it's going around the the pillar it's visible with the door open, but yeah they can't go pulling up the carpets etc.. I don't see how that makes it 'unsecure' either but trying to argue these things is pointless

You can't see any wire showing unless you start lifting bits on my install. I like people not seeing wires as I love a stealth install
