Freaking out the Parts Desk at Peugeot...
#1
Isn't it fun?

With access to Servicebox you can really freak the bloke on the phone out.

"Hi, yea, I need some parts, I have the part numbers"

No disrespect to the bloke at Peugeot who I am waiting for a return call from. It should make their life easier, no? A customer who knows what they want / need and more importantly...what it should cost!

Does anyone else find the same?
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

I do this, would expect it should help them

I tend to just ring up and ask if such part is in stock.

The parts guy I use is spot on, normally just ring up with a list of part nos and everything is at trade price.

Also worth asking them to put the item on a 'stock order' as they get the item cheaper from Peugeot and may pass the saving on. Only down side is you won't get it as quickly.

Yeah this is funny as hell. Thr usual bloke I have got to know is fine with it, but all the others act like I've got access to some top secret company info when I tell them how I know the part numbers/price.

I usually go in with part numbers and they seem pleased about it tbh.

Shame they never seem to stock what I need though!

Its funnier going into citroen dealers and ask for parts for a 306. When you tell them 306=xsara/zx. Mind. Blown.

The worst thing is when a customer gives you a part number, but then asks is it right for their vehicle. I'd rather they didn't bother half the time as they're invariably wrong lol
That said, if they know what they're talking about it makes life much easier!

The Peugeot garage in my town is f*cking useless, no stock and no clue. I end just driving 20mins down the road to the Citroen garage where the guy is spot on. He let me pick parts up from his house and even let me drive his GTI6 !
Unfortunately he quit which is a bit of a bummer.

I'm pretty sure this sums up the guy at my parts desk:
No friends
Virgin
Lives at home
Hardcore gamer
Applies too much hair gel
Zero education
No sense of humour
