Bought my 3rd 306 :D
#1
Hi all.

I'm glad to announce that at the weekend I bought my 3rd 306 and it being my 2nd hdi Smile

Was on the look for a 5 door hdi, any colour considered but would love another black one Wink ( rare I know )

After a few offers and searches online I came across a black 5 door on autotrader for £1300 with 91k on the clock Smile. Unfortunately not a 'Y' reg but 'x' being close.

Went up to Liverpool at the weekend after the seller saying its mint..... As the photos I got sent from him looked great!
But got up there, alloys are corroded to f**k, few dents that he was gonna get out but didn't have the time ( apparently ) buuuuuut I went all that way so I wanted to buy it as I fell back in love with the 306 Smile

So plans are....

Get the alloys refurbished, dents sorted from panels, cambelt etc changed due to not having any history of having it done! Very kindly Darren offered to do it for me Smile.
Also whiles he's doing the cambelt he's going to put a map on for me Big Grin yippy! Can't wait!

Anyway here's the pictures that the guy sent me but at the weekend will take some more to show the alloys/dents before it all gets sorted Smile

Cheers all.

Yeah I ended up paying £1300 for it as the guy wouldn't budge even though he said about the dents etc.... But least it keeps me busy here Smile

Looks pretty tidy tbf and like you said they are pretty rare in black. Shame you didn't hold on a bit as me and a mate have a 5 door astor grey D turbo hdi on a Y reg that we will have for sale sometime soon.

Bit of a pain on not getting the price a bit lower but when they know how far you come they can use that on the price and not budge. Pretty low mileage though for a 306 these days

Yeah its a pretty tidy car in all fairness, just the dents and a few scratches to get rid of and will look good Smile also re fit a fog light. Dammit haha! I should of really but needed a car after I sold my leon.

Yeah I know Sad but like you said he knew I was coming all that way so he knew I was gonna have it. Yeah that's why I went for it as pretty much all of them are over 100k now

Cheers Tom! Big Grin I'm very happy with the finish on them Big Grin. Certainly stands out now with the wheels looking fresh.

Got them to spray them 'Nissan silver' which look epic when the sun hits them Smile

Would like to thank Darren for carrying out a cambelt change and for mapping my car Smile feels a whole lot better now!

Re fitted the broken osf fog this week and this weekend will hopefully change the rocker cover gasket and the inlet manifold gasket due to both of them leaking.

Also want some thoughts on what people think of having black masks on a black car? As in tempted by a set for £50+£15 postage.

Cheers for the photo Smile
I do think that it definatly smartens up the front end with them being on a black car.

Is £50 roughly what they go for? With one bracket broken.
