undo the top bit, take it off and then undo the filter housing off the coilpack bracket... then throw it away (the pipe going towards the front can be gotten rid of, keep the other one)
if it's for the cone filter you have 2 choices, run some piping to the underside of the top section and put the filter down the front, or put the filter where the airbox was

So what am I supposed to do with the other that connects to the top of the head ?

you can see the filter at the back, the silver crap was an attempt at a cold air feed, although if i was going to do it again, i'd have the filter at the front with piping leading to the back
