The c220s are 52s so could either be the same or a 56?

on one site, it said they come with a gt25C, but I think that's a twin turbo one? that's what it said anyway, but mine was listed as a GT20.

Gt25c is a 52mm but old style turbine wheel iirc... So has a t series turbine and gt series 52mm compressor.

That's before they went to the new GTXXYYZZZ naming scheme, so GT25 means nothing.

so what would those be like on an xud? I could of had one for £99 but decided against it and got the gt20 instead, much difference between a 52 and a 56?

Run a touch higher boost with a 56, 52's die over 25psi as the shafts on them are too thin for any more stress.

56s die too...just ask pellowe

the mercs after the the early gt25s are gt2052s

£99 is around average of what I have seen on the bay...seem some as cheap as £75

don't forget about flow, standard t2 might do 20 psi+ but it wont flow anywhere near as much as this thing at 14 even.

I rekon by the difference the T2 on Ozones xud11 compared to my GT2056s, it flows twice as well, and gets on boost sooner too...and then continues to flow once the T2 is out of puff, which is quite soon even at 30psi

My gt2052 flows more at 5-7psi than a t2 does at 20psi

Hitting 20psi just over 2k. 25-27 by 2.2k. Clutch has held fine. Standard valeo with about 15k miles on it, now about 25k.

No he had a gt20v under his sig ( Black GT20V XUD9TE 306 Ph2 DT - Sorely Missed. )

Sure it pulled in the 300ftlbs of toque, but guessing you guys haven't got that kind of toque cos you would be slipping the clutch by now? Or am i wrong

You'll get more torque from a gt20 than a td04 all day long

Surely not more? Maybe sooner in the rev range, and sustained for longer.

Power equals torque/RPM..

TD04 will pretty much always make less torque, go look at the figures...

My black DT had a GT2052v on... Made 313lb.ft torque.. My blue DT had a GT17s from James Aston with a screwed up hotside...

i got one one of these a couple of months ago, and just got round to mating it up with a manifold, and adaping a td04 actator to fit. i will get some pictures up.
how were you going to do the exhaust side? ive got a 3" elbow and flexi and i was thinking of getting a v-clamp and making a flange to weld on to the elbow, instaed of just welding the elbow the hotside

Oh you're in Bicester?! I'm just in Kirtlington... We should meet up at some point..

Take a look at Rickys project thread, he used one also, used a v-band welded to an elbow, it's the way forwards as you can set the angle easier, otherwise you'll set it slightly off and it'll be under strain 24/7!!
