We'll I'm sitting in the car with the engine running waiting for my pal at the airport, temp is on 80c and it's not that warm, there is some heat but not what you would call hot.
Think it's time for matrix change?

Doesn't sound like matrix yet. Try bleeding it with a coke bottle on the header tank. You could also get a hose and try reverse flushing it and see if anything comes out. If you start to get steam out your vents or brown water in the footwells then it will be time for a new matrix.
Doesnt even own a 306.

Check it's not low/using water first before jumping to conclusions.
I swear my heater controls are abit odd, full blast ain't that hot but 3/4 is roasting.
