Alternator belt idle pulleys

So mine need changing, best to just get motor factor parts or are there better options out there? I know lynx do some ally ones for a gti-6, are these the same size as a hdi? But they are pricey.

And whats the best way to do it? Just change the pulleys and leave the sprung but or change the unit.

Someone mentioned sacking the auto tensioner for the older manual style xud type as it fails less. Not 100% sure what you need. Probably a custom sized belt

But i just used a hdi tensioner on

Sod buying lynx stuff after what their bottom pulleys have managed, I use tensioners from the motor factors and haven't had an issue.

From what i've read around various project threads, several people bought them and magically developed issues with chewing aux belts.
