Alternator belt idle pulleys - Slam Wagon - 09-10-2013 So mine need changing, best to just get motor factor parts or are there better options out there? I know lynx do some ally ones for a gti-6, are these the same size as a hdi? But they are pricey. And whats the best way to do it? Just change the pulleys and leave the sprung but or change the unit. RE: Alternator belt idle pulleys - Arron - 09-10-2013 Someone mentioned sacking the auto tensioner for the older manual style xud type as it fails less. Not 100% sure what you need. Probably a custom sized belt But i just used a hdi tensioner on RE: Alternator belt idle pulleys - Poodle - 09-10-2013 Sod buying lynx stuff after what their bottom pulleys have managed, I use tensioners from the motor factors and haven't had an issue.
