205 dt sleeper, engine in :)

You should have bags of room down the back of the engine, get a wastegate on for sure.

Upto 30 psi should be plenty Smile

Might be an idea to crack on with a new bottom end with hdi rods in, if only ready to swap in if the current ones goes pop.

It's far from ideal. But its the lazy option and you won't suffer wastegate creep which is a pain in the ass.

Picked up a replacement engine yesterday so will be rebuilding it.
Hdi 16v rods included!

Will keep you updated with pics

Was going to run a mbc as I've heard this helps with wastegate creep.

There's plenty of room for a waste gate. Just be sure you don't use too thick a plate from mani to turbo

Got the bits sorted for my air intake.
57/63 reducer elbow,
2 x 63mm joiners,
63mm x 25mm tee for the oil breather
Length of 63mm flexi pipe
63mm is 2.5"

I thought 3" would be too big to fit under the bonnet of the 205

Linking the oil breather pipework into it
Getting a bit of high crankcase pressure

Never thought of that..

If your de-filtered it'll make no odds surely.

And I thought that bit by the TMIC vent to atmosphere anyway as soon as you take it off the standard intake?

I've got it venting to atmosphere at the moment
Thought I'd give the tee a go.
If it's piped in as standard my guess it it needs it.
Especially if I've got it boosting at 31psi! Any blow by the rings will pressurise the block

Youl just run boost pressure.down into the engine breather etc. Surely you dont want that as youl have no breather at all on boost

EDIT: thats your intake pipe clearly not a boost pipe hahaha such a fool I can be

The tee is situated after the filter btw

The tee won't be in line with the compressed air pipework.

I was thinking what you were on about Big Grin

It's bleeding a bit.
And I have a massive boost leak somewhere.
I think it's coming from the mating face on the head but being phase1 it has bolts instead of studs originally and the damage has already been done. It did hold up fine for quite a while but has got much worse.

That's better! I turned the fuel up a fair whack after that pic. Need to fit my ground LDA pin again

Its doing around 30 psi now

Need to get on with the engine rebuild and TD04
