It's up for £210.

will take £200

Cost me loads to make compared to usual, pain in the arse to get going, but sweet as a nut now

Ad is here: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/classi...1030380791

I usually sell them for in excess of £200 but I need the quicker cash on this occasion !

Personally i don't like fixies but love single speeds. Iv got 2 single speed mtb that are amazing to ride. I love the look of the Peugeot but would have put slightly wider bars on.

my Raleigh record used to be a really nice bike till some arse pulled out in front of me and destroyed the bike and left me at the side of the road.

don't get out as much any more
when in doubt...... flat out.

Weve got an old Peugeot bike like that in our garage, all the parts look to be there, though its a little dirty, has a tiny bit of surface rust and i think the tyres are cracked and dont hold air. Im almost 22 and im sure my dads had it since before i was born. Whats one in pre-resto worth like?

It really depends, you can get them for around £200 if a good spec one with good parts and condition.. however the basic less brilliant ones can go for as little as £40 in bad condition.

Peugeots are always worth something, so definately worth asking on forums

Hmmm, genius way to make money out of the fixie fashion victims, like it!

Looks damn tidy though dude, do you have to respray many, or is it usually a case of tidying the mechanicals, then new chain, rear hub and decals?

Yup, fixed gear flip flop hub, flip it round for a single speed freewheel.

99% of them require respray. The profit margins are so little when it comes to decent condition frames because the price is so high, then after all of the servicable parts needing replacing, paired with the hours of work required restoring paint, repairing, un-jamming, rebuilding.

I personally prefer an original finish, keeps it classic, I do however respray most of my bikes but the aerosol finish is never as durable as original.

I've been doing it for years, and I've worked on bikes all my life both professionally and even when I was a kid.

Cleaning up original stuff is the big bit, just a lot of Autosol and a good scrub
