hi guys think its about time i did a thread for the d turbo only had it a year and few months so not a great deal has changed but some changes. some of you will of seen it at fcs last year when it was practically standard and with a boost leak. this is my 3rd d turbo and i had a china 6 before this which some scrote took into a central crash barrier on motorway. anyway......

lowered 60 on back and 40 on the front gti front shocks and bilstein rears was lower before on coilovers but the siezed and wouldnt adjust so took them off
compomotive mo5s
masked crystals
hids
turbo back decat and just a peco back box
still on a lucas
gt15 25 psi
dewipered and debadged
momo steering wheel
taken aircon out and and removed the pump
xantia inlet
front mount from a transit and piping from a volvo r
de filtered due to not being able to get the piping back on with different inlet
boost and volts pillar gauges

stuff to come.

strip out.
refurb and paint the comps white
black wrap the roof
bosch
maybe a td04 but have a t25 just sat there

tbh i didnt think it was 60mm but i hae another disc beam to go on will be lower soon.

yeah i defo need a bosch and would like a bigger turbo but i wanna keep it reliable as its spent half its life on axle stands haha

Quick update

I had buckets and harnesses in for FCS and decided to go another way. Soon after FCS I got myself some spray guns and a compressor to give that a whirl. Also since then I've fitted a bosche pump and decided to weld a t2 getting around 25-28psi.
Pump has been give modded and lda grind. I already had a front mount in but small so a bigger one is one the cards.


   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

Not sure what order these pictures are gonna come out in and sorry for the quality.

Whilst prepping for paint and swapping some panels I decided t smooth off the side repeaters washer jets and Ariel. To go with the bonnet and boot I got. But not overly happy with the bonnet so I will be getting another. I am still wanting to black vinyl the roof and painting the wheels a different colour at the weekend.
I still use this as my daily so it gets abused the week but think I'm gonna give t a good clean tomorrow and refit the laguna splitter

hello again should really do this more often haha.

since my last post someone reversed into my front bumper and cause abit of damage but not that bad so left it for a while. last weekend i sorted a crack in the bonnet getting a new one to smooth.
also resprayed the bonnet, grill, hockey sticks, and front bumper so its looking abit fresh atm.
painting the wheel next weekend and then waiting for fcs.

some other mods that have been done are bosch pump with gov mod and lda ground, td04, new intercooler with bigger piping and core. all 2.5 inch piping cant remember the core size ill check my receipts. aslo a 2.5 inch straight through stainless turbo back. most help has been given by dave and danny. still have a few things that i need to do:

gti disk rear beam
hdi front brake conversion
better tyres


but heres how the car looks now hope it gets some love.(sorry taken with phone)

Only bug bear is you chosing to upgrade on power...and a lot of it...before upgrading your brakes. Standard DT brakes are bad for stsndard power! Get some 283s on the thing quick!

Yeah I know what you mean I drive maybe 5 miles a day. I already have hdi 266 drilled and grooved discs and braided lines to fit. Just to decide what pads to get as don't think the Halfrauds range will be any good
