New turbo (Warning: Shiny things inside)
#1
My new toy came in the post today, a Garrett GT2056s.

Got it for an absolute bargain, barely looks used at all. Still has the factory labels/loctite on the wastegate arm etc.

Now to pop down to KrisB's to get it fitted ^.^

It is yeah Smile, he mentioned it on .net so I thought I'd try it out. Should give some good results hopefully, it's compressor map looks good for the XUD.

No way! Sucks you lost connection man Sad

I think it went so cheap because: a) The seller provided no info and b) he listed the wrong model number Tongue

Trust me, for the years I've pondered over compressor maps, this or the 2052S is about the best turbo you'll get for an XUD for efficiency and keeping flow up whilst not turning it into a hairdryer.

Glad to see someone is FINALLY doing it... Both me and Con have been on about it for yonks.

See if you can get a compressor cover off a shagged 2256v or 2056v or something, it'll make your life 500x easier than trying to adapt that silly outlet..

EDIT: Oh and by the way, looks like the turbine outlet is identical to the T2 one, you might just be able to ram on a T2 exhaust elbow... Dependsif the angles are the same, but that could be the closest you'll get to a stock fitment turbo on a DT.

As Ruan said, getting hold of another compressor housing would make it alot easier, as the angle on the outlet of that bitch is going to be a bit of a sod....
