windscreen scratches
#1
Does anyone know how to get rid of scratches on the windscreen?

My girlfriends car is really bad and it's not good to drive it when it's dark as the light from on coming cars catches the scratches. I've tried using a t-cut glass scratch remover to no avail.

just get a new screen, no way of getting scratches out of glass unfortunately. screen replacement isnt too expensive actually, £68 for a new one on the 306 from national windscreens. new glass is amazing too, so clear!

Yeah, I think that might be my only option, but I thought there might of been some way of polishing the scratches out.

yep, although i think it was cheaper because id already taken the broken screen out but only a £20 saving tbh, came to my house and 30 minutes later had new glass. only takes half hour for the resin to set aswel which i was impressed with, was expecting to have to leave it for a day or so before driving

National windscreens quoted me £77 for a replacement screen a couple of years ago but that was taking the old screen out too.
Autowindscreens wanted £75 for a chip repair and double for a screen

Are those windscreen prices for the tinted, rain sensor windscreens? Mine's a bit beat up these days, are rear screens a similar price?
