Are you running your gti on a lucus fuel pump Tongue

Hes talking about it hunting through the revs and chucking a nice plumbe of whitey grey smoke on each chug. If your gti is doing that id be worried Tongue

Started her up this morning n fired up straight away with a little white smoke not much at all. just a little lumpy for about 5seconds. Not had chance to look at the air coming from the filter housing with snow all day. Battery is fine its off my old dturbo n its still green so its okay.

Iv got her sorted now, its running fine no smoke what so ever. Iv bleeded the fuel and got most of the air out gunna keep checking it see how it goes. I think I've pin pointed the whining noise to be the power steering pump the pulley has a bit if play in it so that's next job on the list. Thought I would see how it goes so I went for a run in it yesterday n gave it a boot and I can't believe how quick it is compared to my last to dturbos. The last ones I had seemed to back out at about 3500 revs this one just keeps going till about 4500 before backing out. I don't understand why.
