Torsion bar end adjustment screws
#1
Can somebody explain to me how these adjust the bars when refitting them?

Or rather how/why are they important?

Suppose to adjust them to get the clearance on end of the beam tube to drop arm within spec...generally speaking just leave it alone and it will be ok....

What I mean is, the torx screw pulls the bar against the offset washer doesnt it ? so how can the "adjustment screw" adjust the other side?

Im still a little confused, im not sure that little torx screw is capable of moving the TB, but its never crossed my mind about adjusting, i cant imagine it would make a difference?

Im not talking about the little torx screw, that just goes in tight, im talking about the adjustment rod on the other side...

Exactly, the torx goes in tight against the torsion bar locking it against the offset washer. so therefore the torsion bar can now no longer move. so why would you need an adjuster on the other side if the bar is already locked against the washer ?

Am I missing something? Huh

Ahh so if the left torsion bar goes in, the screw adjusts the clearance of the right hand side trailing arm?
