Finally hit 300k
#1
Well I've finally done it and hit 300k miles in my car this afternoon.

I use to do ridiculous amounts of miles a few years ago, sometimes up to 36k a year and I'm down to the national average of 12k a year now so it feels like it's take ages to hit this miles stone.

Original engine?

Awesome dude. At that kind of mileage you just want to hit the milestones.

Yeah, still original a part from the injectors, crank pully, power steering pump, water pump, the auxiliary idler and tensioner.

It's also still on the original clutch, cv joints and wheel bearings.

Still on the original clutch? That's insane! Amazing that it's needed so little really, those parts that have been replaced are all relatively minor and I know of much worse that's gone wrong with newer cars.

There should be hardly any wear on a clutch if you use it right. I always use to have a go at my girlfriend for being on hers while being at the lights.

241 and a fresh ticket for me yesterday. I used to do 40k a year but go away a lot now so only done 7k each of the last two years. I replaced the clutch because it was slipping, but had stage 1 on for 50k. Still original in my engine bay except crank pulley, water pump is a consumable. Still on original lift pump too.

Lol at the high milage NADs...there's nothing to break on a NAD! lol

We went through this on his other thread niall, previious owners ruin 306s...mines had 7 and is a heap....his has 0 and is still going strong at twice the milage! Plus cars like to be used, not stuck in one place degradung for long periods of time.

The smashes look bad though, is definitely have scrapped it after that!

Peugeot should give you a medal for that achievement.

There was that case where a manufacturer gave someone a new car after they covered a million miles, (VW?) but you wouldn't want a new Peugeot anyway!
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

What? Seriously? If someone offered you an RCZ you'd turn it down? Confused lol
