Some of you may know i recently lost my way and bought a MG ZR ick: well it lasted 3 weeks because after a few days i missed my booooooost, so the hunt began.
My first DT was a ph1 miami blue 3 door and i loved it, iv also had a black ph1 and a sigma ph1 which i stupidly sold for the MG, but theres a means to the end because i won a ph1 miami blue on ebay.
I got there and immedialty popped the bonnet to find a Bosch so got underneath and saw a nice T2 and thought winner already, so took it for a blast and come back to hear a noisy alternator belt and some water dripping, after getting underneath i saw the waterpump leaking.
Me being me i planned to do the cambelt and waterpump anyway so time to get some money knocked off lol. I ended up paying £200
anyway the car
plans are
Cambelt and waterpump
Rocker cover gasket
New interior
Rear disc beam (ordered)
new front bumper (ordered)
new rear bumper
new bootlid (ordered)
ph2 handbrake centre
ph2 rear lights (in cupboard)
Refurb the lasers and fit
LOWER
Just need funds

UPDATE TIME
right as per a previous thread i put the waterpump and cambelt on checked the timing and perfect, BUT i had to leave for half an hout so left mt mate with the car, all he had to do was fit the starter, when i returned the starter was on buit it wouldnt turn over so i thought dud starter so changed it, then tried again still nothing, so whipped the starter off and the fly and cam wouldnt line up it was stopping halfway as if it was touching, i spent hours trying different things until i give up, then he told me...........
........ he fitted the battery when doing the starter and when tigtening the starter bolts the wires touched the starter which flicked the fly 180degrees out which f*cked everything, pissed off was not the word!!!
so lucky i had my XUD for the 205 so thats going in now below are pics of the damage he caused and the new engine.
cam
old engine out
while swapping everything over to the new block did a few adjustments
4mm shim
All timed up AGAIN
also while the box was off and because i need the old clutch for the 205 thought id chuck this in
then gearbox on and ready to in
and finally back in
thats it so far and iv also got the following to fit before i take it for its MOT
2 driveshafts
2 wishbones
2 balljoints
2 TRE's
2 Droplinks
40mm springs and shocks
40mm lowered disc GTI-6 beam
new rear discs
new rear pads
new handbrake cables
half leather interior
front 266mm brake setup
comments welcome

what a nightmere about the engine, at least you have a replacment one to go in so all is not that bad.
can you not drop the engines down instead of lifting up and out?
