Looking good ash ! that backbox sits perfect under the bumper, and your rollcage is looking good

I like this! Looks good mate! Exhaust sits very well. I like how you actually chopped of the egr part and did it properly, i was going to just shove a plate over, or bung it but that now feels inadequate having seen this! :p
Do you know if the smaller gt15/k03 manifold flows better or worse than the bigger t2 style? Dturbo GT2259s build thread; http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-3692.html Daily driver; 330d Msport (doesn't blow up!)

I'd have to bodge in some aluminium welding wire in my mig.. Yeah doesn't look like it would help with flow having the egr passage there. The bung i'm runing on my tmic is made from an old screwdriver handle and some jubilees (it's poped off only the once  ) Have you matched and opened the ports on the head too? I think Dave did this? Dturbo GT2259s build thread; http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-3692.html Daily driver; 330d Msport (doesn't blow up!)

thanks mark
well had her MOT today and she FAILED but only on a rear number plate bulb which cost 28p so not bad goin also got the braided lines and gti calipers with new discs all round oh and some tarox road race brake fluid if it makes a difference i dont know but its much better now
03-04-2012, 07:09 PM
[quote="4WayDiablo"]looks good mate, is it a show cage welded in?[/quote
im not sure its alot sturdyer than the show cages illue seen but when i got it it was just a ma and loop and two legs all the rest I've added so its stronger again and in the event of different needing the cage it should do the job

Looking good Ash! Did they skim your head with the valves still in or not ? What clutch is that? What are you doing about your bottom end, cant remember if your getting rods or not ?
30-04-2012, 01:11 PM
cheers Dave not sure how they did the head but its had a skim ,pressure test, seats re cut ,new valve guides seals and some other stuff. the clutch is one from cg clutches good price imo.

Dave Wrote:Looking good ash, get her back together already!!! thanks mate. it wont be to much longer now i hope the main thing needed will be in my hands on the 16th but then still need to do the pistons so now undecided again weather to just slap them in as they are :/

Personally I would, just for the piece of mind, it reduces the stress on rods, and on your HG, meaning you can also run a thinner gasket further preventing failures.
