Thanks.

We're stuck between these 2. The Rallye needs abit of work and is miles away but the 6 is near mint and alot closer. Prices seem abit high though IMO

Go for the Wallye. It'll be worth the work, be worth more when done, it's rarer and it's white...

We like it but he's just said he's been offered £1850, the BIN is £1650 lol so I think he's trying to make me raise my £1100 offer.

I know! He said he's considering it....
What sounds a fair offer to make? I offered £1100 originally.

I'd go in around £1,200 or so, due to the short tax and MOT, plus the lack of confirmed history for the rebuild. He could have a mate who works there and has given him a few beers to say it was done...

My sister really keen on it. Found out the original offer was my sister i've told her to say she's not interested.
I think the highest we will go is £1400 only with a fresh MOT.

Pretty fair price He may be unwilling though due to 'rallye tax'

1300 cash with new mot, simples. It's not worth that much more unless you get a pugnut with too much cash and no idea. Or save the extra cash and get a mint 6, more common but hey...

Shes kinda set on a Rallye now.
The guy said it's going for an MOT tomorrow so i've offered 1350 under the condition it passes ans he sends a pic of the certificate. Quite excited now, even though XUD's my favourite

Well he told my sister that it hadn't had an MOT then told me saying it had but failed on a ball joint. I ask him why he said it hadn't and he replied saying oh it must have had a slot or something.... Didn't make much sense TBH.
Theres other things which just makes me think somethings dodgey about it. Also it's abit far to travel and I said if I find it's not as it appears and that i'm a mechanic I will just go home and be pretty pissed off doing a 200 mile journey for nothing and didn't seem so keen to sell it to me after saying that nooty:

Did you mean to link the red one? I'm guessing not as you said the 'buy it now' price, but that doesn't have one. If you did mean that one, then I would say it's not worth that much...if you can knock a few hundred off, then yeah sure it's a decent buy, but at that price not so much. It's a full phase 2, no mention of cambelt and only says that there is service history and bills, not full history.

Ha ha love your siggy quote, mr carpenter !
I didn't look at price just pics Scott but as you mention it...£1200 would be better I personally would offer 1k cash and walk straightaway if declined, I just don't love it enough to pay more lol
