I didn't even get a vote on the independence of my own country (Scotland) so why should a German get a vote on Britain leaving the EU?

Leaving is not pretty, won't even link to the new French border controls that will be coming in.
It's no as if the remain team exaggerated at all is it. Yes I voted out so I might sound defensive but I'm bein fair about the whole situation. The fact of it is WE Great Britain get to be Great Britain we can have our own legislation our own trade deals our nhs running better, yes it may take some years to get back in to the swing of things but can anyone honestly tell me that you see a future for not you but your kids and your kids kids within the European Union because quite frankly I can't. You think there'll be another Scotland vote now?

1.) Call every white person who voted Leave a "racist", ignoring the fact that Europeans are also white. Make sure you ignore and marginalise ethnic minority leave voters.
2.) Claim that the (huge) turnout wasn't high enough. 72%? It should have been at least 75%! 80%? It should have been 85%! Make sure to keep moving the goalposts.
3.) Make a stupid e-petition demanding another referendum, just like the socialists did when Labour lost last year. We need to keep having referendums until we get the "right" result.
4.) Get over-excited about the economy, even if the impact has been pretty boring and mundane. Pretend that your 2:2 in English Literature makes you an expert on currency markets.
5.) Attack the very idea of Democracy, because it's only a good thing when it goes the way you want it to. Working class voters don't know what's good for them, but middle class liberals definitely do.
6.) Share memes bashing Brexit, ignoring the unwelcome and uncomfortable realisation that you are in the minority of public opinion.
7.) Boldly claim that Scotland will leave the UK, forgetting that A) they can't afford to B) the EU can't afford to take them C) 1.6m remain votes don't cancel out 2m NO votes.
8.) Make fun of Boris Johnson while sweating slightly and really hoping he doesn't become Prime Minister.
9.) Learn absolutely nothing from the campaign, blaming the result on everyone but yourself. Scaremongering and bullying are clearly the best tactics to use, there's no way they could possibly backfire.
10.) Curl up in a ball and cry yourself to sleep while listening to "Ode to Joy".
people who are pissed with the way the DEMOCRATIC and LEGAL vote went should pick one..

Thats probably one of the most sensible things I've heard over the entire situation in a while. Regardless of which way you voted, we have now been dealt our hand and this is what pisses me off with all these people having hissy fits on FB over it and bullying people because they didn't get their way. We are leaving, end of so rather than sitting there like a little bitch, get on with it and embrace the change.
Oh and before anyone says "you would say that", i personally wanted us to stay in the EU.

There has been a rise in reports of racial abuse lately. Polish people in Cambridgeshire have been having laminated hate mail calling them vermin posted through their letterboxes. My own girlfriend has been subjected to racially charged statements at work. This is just a small amount of the hate that has been spreading nationwide as horrible racists now feel legitimised.
People all talking about "my great grandad fought in WW2 for Britain" when we couldn't have won the battle of Britain and defended our country without Polish pilots. WW2 was a war against this kind of hatred, and now this hatred is empowered.
That is not to say that everyone who voted leave is racist, far from it. The opinion that the UK is better off outside the EU is a legitimate opinion and everyone is entitled to an opinion. It is, however, undeniable that there is a small minority of racists who are celebrating this and who feel empowered to make their racist views known.
It disgusts me that my own countrymen and women would post racist hatemail through people's letterboxes, 1930s Germany-style. Whether you voted remain or leave, this kind of behaviour is poisonous and shouldn't be tolerated.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

People wanted a shakeup, I don't see leaving EU as the shake up people were expecting we'll now just face many smaller problems at home.

The poll here shows a reasonable majority for remain, actually a greater majority than voted to leave in real life.
It'll be because our European members can also vote, the age demographic here is quite young and youngsters are more likely to vote remain and also there is people who have refused to vote on here as they don't want to share but I reckon that these are the type of person who would have voted out.

You need to understand this is an invalid argument.. because we cant way what would happen next week either way if we stay in with a 48% vote to leave, or if we leave with 48% remain..
its an interesting thought that despite the free market, and free movement, the only other block of land in the world over the last 10 years that DECLINED in size of economy overall apart from europe, was antarctica..
Exports from the UK to the EU declined a total of 10%

Splitting hairs with that last bit dum-dum.
Unfortunately bigoted people will always find something to justify their beliefs, their beliefs certainly shouldn't affect how you vote on an issue crucial to the future development of the country.

Personally I think we might now be a little f*cked and that the EU exit will never actually happen. The financial markets have no confidence in the government to sort this out and it's going to cause us some real monetary pain.
Hopefully Teresa May will become PM, Corbyn will go and a plan comes together. I think it's perfectly reasonable for us to do better out than in but there needs to be coherent planning place before leaving. This gives everyone confidence and that is what will drive the economy forward.
We don't need further massive cuts in public spending , interest rate rises or the housing market to collapse. Investment is key.

the rise of the national socialists??
who knows what's really behind all of this, cammeron being played as a puppet?
very soon its going to be " meet the new boss, same as the old boss". and we will have been fooled again and again and again.

Oh come on, while the killing of Jo Cox is undoubtedly a tragedy the alleged killer was mentally ill. Day to day he helped local people learn English, did his neighbors gardens and volunteered for a local charity. Although assassinate is not incorrect the connotations it brings are of gangland murders, secret agent "hits" and hired contract killers which really don't (appear to) apply in this case.
Nobody should be using her death to emphasise their political point till the full facts are known.

Surely there never will be, given that everyone who voted out MUST be a racist, therefore the only thing that could possibly come out of it is... Well i'm not actually sure what your theory on all this is or what fantasy world you've developed it from, so no idea what you're expecting to happen...? Possibly some sort of explosion involving neo-nazis, Boris Johnson and the channel tunnel?

Again no one is saying if you voted out you MUST be a racist. Granted there are some appealing reasons for the vote to leave however many have taken the vote the Leave as an excuse for racism or at least justify it. Look at the Manchester tram attack, people shouting in broad day light on a crowded tram "go back to your own country" when no doubt the victim has done more for our society than those cretins ever will.
