Hello all few questions on start up my xud runs real lumpy then picks up and runs normal only for a few seconds 

Second what transit diesel pumps will fit a 1.9xud

Sounds like air ingress

As far as I know you only use the pump head off the transit pump

Yes does sound like air ingress into the fuel system.Might be worth buying a genuine Purflux fuel filter (from GSF ).
My car has similar symptoms after fitting a pattern fuel filter - I have bought a genuine Purflux and will change it when convenient, dont be misled by anybody saying 'this filter is manufactured by a company in the same group as Purflux' - same group does not mean same quality !
