to stop subframe from warping when welding you do a inch weld 1 side and then weld opposite side and so on , just not concentrating welding in any one area , it just take a bit longer so as not to get any heat distortion mate

vts steering rack delivered today , also got aload more carbon fibre , 16sq metre in total so can make some more lighter panels for car , and cleaned up and painted 5 alloys for the wet tyres to be fitted to , so have absolutely loads to get on with car

right found out nobody makes carbon fibre cambelt cover ,so made mould and layed up in carbon fibre , so will remove tomorrow and see how it turns out like .then might make some more

right pulled first carbon cambelt cover from mould , but decided to make phase 2 cambelt cover , so just ready for final trim and flat and polish ,ready for engine build
with engine getting rebuilt ,decide to start on other mods , so stripped interior ready for cage work ,am adding extras to door bars and triangulating to front top mounts and strengthening in a few more places as my kids drive car aswell ,so safety has to come priority , will add more picture as go along

just you rest up and get that leg better , theres going to be loads more carbon and weight saving , just got to sourght safety first and stop front end flex , even make kids were full safety nomex suit before driving car

[attachment=26657]got a bit more cage work done today , got both x door bars in and rear main hoop sections in ,and got one side of triangulation to front turret ,hopefully will find time to finish drivers side triangulation to turret this week , then can prep for paint. fingers crossed

managed to triangulate drivers side strut turret , and modified original wiper motor by turning motor and drilling the 3 fixing holes that hold motor and trimming mounting plate , so all fits in original mounting holes , so primer new cage work this weekend hopefully

no what you mean adam , its a bit of a tight space but with a little bit of alteration , went in easy , and saved me having to buy another , so really happy how it worked out mate

finished fibreglassing bulk head and managed to mask car out , and primed new cage work ,then decided to go for it with being mothers day tomorow . so ended up painting inside ,will start fitting up inside this week
