The peugeot 306 finally hit the road today after 1 year and 3 months. I bought the car as a damaged repairable to fix it up my self cheap as possible.
The car passed the Mot first time today very impressive. Also today I've been out in the car done 80miles and its going really well.
There was afew things bodged by last few owners but I've put the lot right and done it properly.
I'm going to be doing some mods to the car inside and out. I've got alot of parts to go on the car all been painted up ready and other parts been sitting around waiting to go on. So finally now I can start putting the parts on and getting use out of the car to.
The pictures of the car were when I bought it looking like this. But the car changed since with new pictures coming up.

Why two threads? Definitely looks like a project.
Is the bodywork as clean as it looks in the photos?

The body work and inside is really tidy and clean. Also underneath the car like brand new underneath.
It's had the full wax oil treatment as well while its looking new.

I'm thinking of doing stuff inside the car and outside body work as well. Also maybe somethings to the engine as well. I'm keeping my options open at the moment and see how things go with allready having parts to go on the car ready now.
I've changed the wheels that were on the car. The tyres were really small and on rims with crappy hub cap covers lol.
So I bought these alloy wheels just for now also decent 4 new tyres and in great condition They come with locking nuts and alloy wheel bolts. £80.
I have got other alloy wheels to go on the car but need longer bolts etc first. But these will do for now till things come along.
New wheels just need a clean
New wheels all cleaned up nice

I know that lol.
But they had 4 new tyres and come with locking wheel nuts and alloy bolts. The tyres I had were no good so for £20 a wheel with 4 new tyres was cheap to me lol.

Thanks,
The main damage was the 2 headlights, grill, slam panel. Then the bumper lower grill and fog lamps I melted those back on and fixed those. Also small things missing or needed changing like door pins, screws, door and window seals etc.

The first thing I did was ajust the doors and boot closer in to the body. Also ajusted the latches and rubbers to see. Some worked but if still the same
I got seals from the scrap yard and looked at them to check they wern't warn out.
The aerial I used silicon to seal that because those tend to leak which mine did.
I've done some more smaller changes to the car. The old big aerial gone now with the smaller one now. Also new chrome washer jets there not wired up.

I got some chrome number plate surrounds fitted from the scrap yard.
My new morette lights all painted up the same colour as the car now. Also fitted them on now also changed the bulbs all to xenon ones.
Also removed the wiper fins well the wind did lol. So that keeps everybody happy now even me lol.

Jesus... you not get bored with just 90bhp in a 306 in 3 years? Only took me a few days to get bored of mine standard, and now im bored of mine at stage 1 too. An update would be sweet though.
