Hno longer green it's finally been cleaned!
Although it now shows all the scrapes, it's got a nasty one on the rear bumper, which definatley wasn't me. And someone has sprayed bianca paint directly on it with no prep with has run down the bumper. Think someone has hit it with a red car (evidence as red paint on bumper aswell) and then tried to cover it up. Which has happened at one of the 3 locations it's been at in the last 2 years! So now on the hunt for a front and rear bumper for it Update: had to change the brake switch today as the bloody thing was just staying on all the time! Definatley never doing that again, ended up elbow deep in the dash. Right pita Also tried adjust the exhaust as I have a massive blow between the cat and midsection but I can't get it right, will be buying some exhaust paste and sealing the fucker with it. That should do it. Also ordered a new fan switch for the rad, as that is the reason they do not come on. And need to get a new starter as mine is far too sticky. And I noticed today that if I turn the dash on and wiggle the gearstick my lights go mental. I'm presuming it's the gearbox earth so will give that a clean and tighten when Its not pissing it down. So list of things to be doing for the mot New fan switch so I can get it to not overheat while it's being mot'd Change front wishbones Order and fit new rear discs (as mine disappeared either before or during the fronts getting fitted at pugperformace) Rip out the rear seats again. Take all the scrap out Attend to the rust underneath and hope it's just surface rust Then mot Plans for this is to get it road worthy, then sort out all the niggly bits I know of and any I might find so far I need to Replace passenger window bits (clip doesn't hold window in/doesn't run smoothly) New rear beam as I think it's cambering Source new front and rear bumper Fit black masks Source a rallye interior (long term) Fit the shocks and springs I have Replace wingmirrors Fit a new lift up reverse gearstick (or find a way of fitting a new collar) Find a full set of interior trims(black b+c pillars +boot plastics) Find a way of attacking mounts for doorcards again Fit rallye doorcards Sound deadening New gear knob Basically make this mint again TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

Again, any more help, holla!

Cheers man! Appreciate the help so far! The starter seems to be loosening up. But might just be my imagination aha!
Will be taking the leaking doors first. Think I found why I had a puddle, someone tried to break in, bent the door back a little, obviously failed. So put my knees on the rear and pulled it back. Can no longer see into the car through the closed door TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

Small list of things for the mot. Nice and easy things, got the front shocks and drop links changed this evening. Going to sort all the nice easy things tomorrow after work. Saturday I don't start till 4.30 so going to crack on with the wishbones (after I make sure I bought the right ones haha) Also have a new rear beam being picked up tomorrow morning so should be here early next week TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

Right so update,
These past two weeks I've replaced Both front shocks, springs, top mounts Both front drop links O/s cv boot Rear beam The horn Brake switch Rear abs sensors Just got to replace the fan switch and wishbones and she should be ready for the mot. Had a right pain with the rear beam unions, ended up cutting the hard lines and putting some cooper pipe in between with some fresh unions! They don't leak, so hope they are safe haha Had a pita with a rear caliper! The only one with a cover and it's sheared off as soon as the spanner went on, so need a new caliper, but has been bled using the "line out method" until new caliper arrives If all goes to plan I should hopefully have it mot'd this week/early next week Exciting times. Watch this space TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

So,
Cambelt water pump pullies Radiator Discs and pads all round New wishbones New cv boot Front shocks, springs and new top mounts 2 brand new droplinks New rear beam Re fabricated rear brake lines Full service New cat X2 4 new spark plugs Fuel pump relay New battery x2 Windscreen wipers New window clip and winder 2 seatbelts 2 front seats A steering wheel Rear water pipe replaced Engine required New (second hand) exhaust heat shield Second hand mid pipe and back box Manual wiring for fan switch Full break fluid flush and change Full coolant flush and change I think that covers all the work that I have done. Apart from cambelt and radiator I've done it all myself or with the helping hands of my mate dan to bolt things while i did the heavy lifting (beam) But now I'm super happy, for the first time in 2 years she 100% running. 100% legal. Plans now are to get on with cleaning the engine bay and returning everything to standard and making a fine example of it. Lower the rear beam to match the front Install all the plastic trim again and start the long hunt for a rallye interior TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

19-10-2015, 04:47 PM

Once I've sorted the lows out, the rear end feels dead twitchy as its standard and the front is low haha
TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!
Well done matt
Can't believe I couldn't give my rallye seats away, ended up putting them back when sold it. Do you need fronts and rears ? Astor 6 Fast road/track project
Yep needs front and rears. I'm gutted, never should have removed them!
Right so update time. I've been working hard these last two weeks to sort parts and an interior. I now have a fresh interior. Albeit not a rallye interior and its not matching but it now has an interior. Recent work undertaken: Sourced and fitted black abc pillars Sorted the sound deadening in the rear archs Re carpeted the rear aches Fitted a centre console with handbrake surround Fitted steering column surround Tracked down and got some front seat belts for cheap I've also tackled the engine bay recently. It was looking like an absolute state. Plasti dip all over the rocker cover etc the manifold was chipped to f*ck. Battery box was gross and clamp was rusty. Also the mini brace over the top mount was rusty so have that a temporary paint. Fitted black masks and removed the hids that I had fitted.has standard bikes in again and looks so much better Front bumper still needs to be sorted out. Saggs majorly so will sort out in due course. Few Shots from the other night New beam turned up for it And the disgusting ride height Fresh paint I have an immaculate to replace when I return to standard Strut brace strip down Brace hast been painted up in silver. Manifold will be getting stripped down to be painted silver also I'm on the look out for a standard air box if anyone has one? TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

Cheers man, I've put so much money/time/effort/blood/rage into this within he last 3months to get it back. Now it's back it doesn't feel right haha.
Now it's a case of getting it all up to a clean/standard spec Do it mate, the sound of induction alone makes me smile TEAM CONROD SHITTING RALLYE!

How long ago was it we were all shacked up in your caravan in the pouring rain, with this on a trailer, behind a flatbed truck, in a field that may as well have been a pond?
