they were very cheap once i'd sold one of the brand new Continental tyres off it for £45
got some 15mm hubcentric spacers and extended bolts for the rear, probably getting the same for the front once the new tyres are bought and fitted and I've got the funds to do so!

thats not to bad then. i manged to pic up a set of challengers for £180 all with good tyres (the right size for a 306) and 15mm spacers and bolts for the rear which i fort was a good price. though i did have to do a 100 mile round time for them

just a quick update: getting closer with the alloys refurb. I recently split up with the mrs, so things have been taking longer than i'd like!
the only pic i have at the moment:

looks really nice. What happened to the Challengers?

Just gone through from the start... DAT SCOOP
Looks tidy, paintwork looks immaculate! I like the colour matched spoiler as well, looks good on it although your recent picture shows the standard ph3 one? What did you do with the old one?

Looking alot smarter, where was the china paint from? Looks a really good match.

That looks lush! I love china so much, and that is looking like a cracking example!

thanks for all the comments guys
I removed the 3 post spoiler that came with the car and reverted to the standard P3 spoiler, i personally prefer it this way. I have a 350z as a weekend car, so decided to sell the Challengers and stick to the cyclones and keep the 306 as a sensible daily driver. Ive recently remapped the car with a custom map from Steve, the car is much more responsive and a pleasure to drive! Unfortunately that spoiler didn't make it through the removal process completely intact, shame really because the paint match was perfect!

lol, will do! I was contemplating selling and moving to maybe an MG ZR td, but finding a low mileage one that hasn't been eaten by rust (good old Peugeot!) is proving difficult!

Great project mate and a lovely looking car now but those morettes and that spolier were probably original judging by the SP badges and the fact they are SP parts
03-07-2013, 12:26 PM
cheers for the info! I sold the morettes for decent money last year, but i got sick of seeing the spoiler sat on the back seats for weeks when i didnt have time to list on the forum/ebay. it broke at the mounting points as the screws to loosen it from the mounts on the rear window had rusted up and rounded.

She's looking very nice mate. It's a twin of my HDi
Kind of reminds me of my old girl a few years ago. Had her almost 8.5 years now!
