Seafoam

Got a 1.8 16v and a can of sea foam. Anyone done it on theres? 15 year old car on 82,000 so probably has a fair carbon build up.

Seen a couple of videos on Youtube, it seems to work pretty well.

You got the standard can or the aerosol one??

Sisters other half did it on his subaru and it made a noticable difference. And its the normal can.

Just be careful with the normal can, you've gotta add it at a steady rate to avoid hydrolocking the cylinders.

The instructions say to ram that last 1/4 can in all at once to stall out the engine and wash out the back of the inlet valves.
Personally I don't fancy that, and it's not something you'd do with the aerosol can version.

Yeah read about doing that, not something i want to if im honest ahahah, heard if you use a football pump valve it works well because it doesnt suck to much in.
