Awesome Audi and one of the only ones that will make me take a PIC!
2.3 litre kicking about 340 brake!
Dude said there's about 80 left!
I wish it was mine!

I am not surprised that there is only 80 of those left, as that era of audi took a massive hit with the scrappage scheme.
A lot of decent cars got wasted for that stupid scheme really, as it hasn't really done anything but smash the second hand car market!

Got a v8 hidden under the bonnet in this case.

Yes,bet that's worth a fair few quid.

Possibly not as much as you'd think.....?

I'd argue it's perhaps not even an original Cosworth.......possibly a cosworth shell but the 3 doors are worth so much money now in std guise that I can't see the point of putting a V8 into it........sure I bet it shifts but will be an absolute monster and probably undriveable in the wet......

one of the head dressers who cuts my hair has a porsche 944, I don't think its on the road now, as it did need some work doing to it.

Hey Ben, never driven a Cossie but been in a couple over the years ( im39 ) and barring a minter that's worth a fortune I would still rather own your car once your finished with it of course for all the reasons above! ;-)

A memory from long ago!
'twas late one winter eve around november 1997/98 we were all smashed in my mates back garden gathered round a metro front subframe and a red hot 45 gallon drum bouncing about to dye witness a wee bit mwi debating which part to straighten first before rapid refit after a slippy moment losing grip on a bad slope in snow!
Oh those snowballs!!!!!

Just sharing a metro memory from yesteryear with Procta and in English
We ( a bunch of rowdy wee rascals) sat cosily round a fire spanner in one hand, earl grey in the other
Debating the finer points of bent BJ removal from the subframe of my mates newly crashed metro lol while at the same time chewing our own faces off foo of disco biscuits to the newest rave crew to hit the UK "DYEWITNESS" ultrasonic the rhythmic state and all the originals fresh at the time! Yes I'm that old!

there is a metro owner from your way, on the metro owners club Redordead. I think he maybe the only Scottish owner on there. He is a cracking fella! loves his Vauxhall novas mind, another great car of the 80s and early 90s, shame most were blagged!

Anyone seen a Slalom lately? 3 door version!
The owner is in his 70's or 80's and had it since 2002 and loves it!

Yeah it was the same up here but not too surprising with the need of a mere metal tea spoon you could open just about any ford Vauxhall or rover :-( add two thirds of a tennis ball and u could take your pick!

Can't say I've seen one in Alpine spec before... It's amazing you could buy a brand new car that looks like it's already been keyed right across! lol

I escaped the madness for half an hour for a stick and while I was sitting enjoying the view from my tailgate this little xrad drove up and I promptly jumped out and stopped the dude! Turns out he has 2 garros 205's too!

I took the metro for some fuel today, and a little drive, Just to stretch its legs a little. Anyway I pulled into the petrol station, and guess what I parked next to! A very late MK2 micra on a K plate!! Could be the only Mk2 one left now in sunderland! I said that's rare! the lad gave me a nod and smiled! The lass behind the counter said, Christ that's a sight I haven't seen for years!! Two old cars from the 90s! Must have been a proper time warp to people filling up! Seeing two cars that are from the early 90s!

Got chatting to this guy again a couple of weeks ago, seems it's original alright; the current owner's grandfather put the mustang v8 in back in 1988, was supposedly a show-stopper at the time. I suspect you may be right about it being an utter bastard to drive in the wet, then i also suspect that's half the point. Big Grin

There are about 12 'real' ones apparently, saw a genuine one at a show last weekend, the one used on 'Jolly Boys Outing', could've had a photo in it with a Del Boy sheepskin coat if you wanted. lol Not sure if this is a real one or not though, doesn't look battered enough tbh!
